Dr. Markos’ presentation is part of the “Contemporary World through Classic Eyes Lecture Series” co-sponsored by the National Hellenic Society, The Congressional Hellenic Caucus, The American Hellenic Institute Foundation and Odyssey Magazine. The Lecture Series provides a refreshing perspective of the old world within the context of contemporary issues and challenges. Dr. Markos addressed several Congressional members of the Hellenic Caucus, staff and dignitaries that included Cyprus Ambassador Andreas Kakouris, Greece’s Defense Attaché Colonel Taxiarchis Sardellis, Greece’s Press Attaché, Magda Hatzopoulos, American Hellenic Institute Executive Director, Nick Larigakis, public policy and government representatives and members of the public.
